Zigzagging Outer Space: The Legal Complexities of Mega-Constellations

Zigzagging Outer Space: The Legal Complexities of Mega-Constellations

I am excited to share that my seventh space law article is now published in the Nebraska Law Review! The piece is available here: “Zigzagging Outer Space: The Legal Complexities of Mega-Constellations

In Zigzagging Outer Space, I examine the legal complexities arising from the proliferation of LEO mega-constellations and propose the creation of COSMOS (Coordinated Oversight System for Mega-constellations and Orbital Sustainability). This comprehensive governance framework, formed between the ITU (International Telecommunication Union) and UN COPUOS (Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space), aims to ensure the safety and sustainability of Earth’s near orbits.

I am grateful to the editors and members at the Nebraska Law Review for their diligent hard work throughout the publication process!

Here's to our continued safe and accessible zigzags in Outer Space!
